NRA Pistol Instructors Course
The Pine River Sports Association will sponsor a 2 day “NRA Pistol Instructor” training course. Successful completion this course will certify the participant to teach the NRA Pistol Shooting Course.
Date: February 23rd & 24th, 2018
Time: 8:00am to 5:00pm, Course will begin promptly at 8:00am.
Location: Pine River Sports Training Room – 1535 N Cedar St., Richland Center, WI 3581 (the website has a map link for directions.)
Cost: $250.00 (a $100.00 deposit is required at pre-registration)

Short Description: This 16-hour course teaches the knowledge, skills and attitude essential to organizing, promoting and teaching NRA’s Basic Pistol Shooting course.
Prerequisite: Possession of basic firearm safety and shooting skills is a perquisite for certification as an NRA instructor. Prior to the instructor training, candidates complete a pre-course questionnaire and demonstrate their firearm background in pre-course assessment exercises. Fully certified NRA instructors must be at least 21 years of age and legally capable of owning a firearm. The NRA has an assistant instructor and a apprentice instructor program for individuals under the age of 21 years old. Description: Course is presented in two parts: Basic Instructor Training (BIT), and discipline specific instructor training. Students demonstrate organizational and teaching skills via participation in practical exercises during the course, and complete an instructor certification examination. Students will receive the NRA Trainer’s Guide, NRA Pistol Shooting Instructor Candidate Packet and NRA Basic Pistol Shooting course student packet.
