The following is a recap of the PRSA hosted seminar “Introduction to Handguns for Women.”
The seminar was held on Saturday March 2, 2019 at the PRSA indoor range at 1535 N Cedar St, Richland Center, from 10:00am to 2:30pm – with break at noon. The PRSA provided sandwiches and soda for lunch. All together seven (7) women attended and participated, each paying the course fee of $35.00.
In addition to the course participants/students, in attendance were:
Gary Campbell (Certified NRA Instructor)
James Barnicle (Producer, PRSA Host and Certified Range Safety Officer)
Rob Gleisner (Certified NRA Instructor and Range Safety Officer)
Larry Marshall (Certified Range Safety Officer)
James Bindl (Richland County Sheriff)
The program was very successful, at least based on the reaction of the students, which was full of questions, praise and wanting to know when our next seminar would be held.
Jim Barnicle indicated that this was our third seminar and that we would possibly schedule another in August of 2019. Additional information will be provided and posted when details have been worked out.
The seminar consisted of a laser power point show in the morning – beginning with the very basics of a handgun, its safe handling and shooting lessons.
This was followed by lunch.
After lunch all participants were given live fire demonstrations and were able to participate in actual live fire on the indoor range. Each participant was given intense personal, one-on-one instruction under supervision of the Instructor and Range Safety Officers.
If anyone has further questions or comments, please use the “leave a comment” indicator above this post.
Thank you to all who attended and made this seminar a success.
